Nothing reminds me more of a tropical destination than a yummy, fresh pina colada! Something about coconuts and pineapple just screams sun, beaches and warm tropical air! And while I can’t be in the tropics all the time… it doesn’t mean I can’t enjoy some of it’s delicious flavours! I was craving having one, without the alcohol, so I thought about making a smoothie version of it! And while I wasn’t laying on a sunny beach in paradise, it was just as delicious!! Here is what I did:
-1 frozen banana
-1/2 cup frozen pineapple 1/2 cup
-coconut milk 2 cups ice 50 grams protein
-1 scoop vanilla protein powder (I use Hammer Nutrition)
-1.5 tablespoons of shredded, unsweetened coconut (offers a little texture and added flavor)
Blend together and enjoy!
