Ever finish a run and take a break on a picnic table? While you can sit there and drink some agua, you can also use it as an awesome place for a killer, whole body, cross training workout!!
Here is an awesome 6 move workout that I love! Give it a try! The best thing is you don’t need any equipment other than a picnic table… and they are everything! Try each move, 3 times through for a killer whole body workout that focuses on triceps and glutes! You don’t need any equipment for this workout other than a picnic table!
Move 1:
Lean your upper body over the bench of a picnic table, extend your arms out straight and grab on with your hands. Bend your legs and pulse up with your heels facing the sky and come back down controlled.
Move 2:
Stand with one leg up on the picnic table, extend your arms straight and squat down. Do not touch your foot to the ground. Do 15 reps each leg. A modification is to touch your foot to the ground. Try to do as many as you can without doing this.
Move 3:
Get into a push-up position on the bench, wrap your hands on the sides of the bench and do a triceps push-up. Keep your back straight and your back down. A modification is to do the move on your knees.
Move 4:
Start in a wide squat position, use momentum to jump up onto the bench and squat. Keep your knees bent as you land the jump. Jump backwards off the bench, again keep your knees bent when you land. A modification for this is to step up onto the bench instead of jumping.
Move 5:
Put your hands shoulder width apart and place your feet straight out in front of you. Bend at the elbows till your butt just touches the ground and come back up. A modification for this is to bend your knees.
Move 6:
Start sitting on the edge of the picnic table and bend your legs, do not touch your feet onto the picnic table, hands are placed lightly beside your butt. Kick your legs out simultaneously left, center and right. This is one rep.
