WELCOME TO THE 2nd 2021 RLAG 6 PART VIRTUAL CHALLENGE
We are heading into the second part of 2021 with a new outlook on virtual events, motivation, accountability and giving back in our communities!
Challenge Information
How It Works
You can sign up for one challenge at a time or all 6 challenges as a series. For each month a challenge is completed you will receive a $30.00 RLAG Gift Card. If you complete the series (all 6) you receive an additional $40.00 RLAG Gift Card.
Everyone who registers for one or more challenges will receive one 20% RLAG store (one-time use) discount code.
Each month a new adventure awaits! We are giving you the opportunity to set your own goals, to really push yourself and create space for that personal growth!
During each monthly challenge, share your experiences, challenges and victories with others to make a difference in your community! You can do this on the RLAG community page, on your personal social media or while talking with your exercise buddy.
Although the monthly challenges offer a different activity each participant is required to submit daily results into race roster, distances and/or photos. Detailed instructions will be emailed to you at the start of each new challenge.
For registrants of our monthly challenges we will have draw prize giveaways from RLAG and Alkeme Foods once a month! Winners will be posted on our Instagram @runlikeagirl_ca and emailed.

Registration Information
- You can register for one or more challenges as individual challenges or register one time for all six as a series!
- You have until July 31, 2021 to register for the series.
- All RLAG gift cards will be emailed to you upon completion of each challenge.
The Challenges
Activity/Goal: Run, walk or hike the distance of your choice.
- Choose your own “race” distance – how far can you go in one month. (Minimum of 50km for the month)
- We challenge you to set a goal of moving at least twice the distance you have ever moved in a month before! How many KMs can you do in a month? Set a goal and lets see!
- You have from August 1-31, 2021 to complete the distance you register with.
- It's going to be HOT HOT HOT!
- You are allowed to combine running, walking and hiking throughout the month (you do not have to stick to one type of activity)

Challenge Etiquette
- We highly encourage you to throw out an AIR HIGH FIVE, a WAY TO GO, GOOD JOB, or a PAT ON THE BACK to other runners in your community and virtually in our Facebook group!
- We are all out there giving it our all and supporting each other during these times of being distant!
- Hold yourself accountable to complete each challenge. We require that you upload your distance results and challenge photos but it is also on you to not cut corners.
- If you wish to listen to music while running, hiking or walking please only put in one ear or keep your music low, you need to be able to hear others and wildlife around you for your and their safety.
- If you are heading out into the mountains or onto a trail please ensure you have the updated winter report for your area.
- Running in the dark... be visible!
- Always make sure you have your 10 essentials with you!
- Ensure that someone knows your adventure plans!
- Know before you go!

You can upload your challenge results in race roster up to 5 days after the challenge date is over. You will not be sent reminders to upload your results. The grace period is 5 days from the last challenge date.
If you are only signing up for one month challenge at a time registration must be complete before the 25th of each month.
Please note we and our community take the Covid 19 Global Pandemic very seriously. We put the safety of our community and everyone first as we navigate through this uncertain time. We are making sure to follow the instructions, regulations and protocols of our Health Authorities.
Some of the challenges may be subject to change if Health Authority Regulations do not allow us to conduct them safety following the guidelines. If there are any challenges that need to be changed or altered in anyway you will be notified as much in advance as possible. If a challenge has to be completely removed a new one will be created and put in its place.
