How This Event Works
This Dam Run Event has been created to support the Backpack Buddies Program and to showcase the incredible paths and trails within Lynn Valley Regional Park. This is a family friendly event! Your registration includes a finishers gift, a $5.00 donation to Backpack Buddies, your event bib, finish line food and lots of fun!
Note this is not a chip timed event, however we do track finish times at the finish line.
Community, support and celebration this is what our events are all about. We believe that we can change peoples lives with those three elements. Help us support local organizations that are doing amazing things for others!
Local Event:
Join us at our local event starting and finishing at the Lower Seymour Conservation Reserve, Rice Lake Parking Lot on March 29, 2025.
- All participants receive a finisher’s gift!
- You choose to run a 21km, 13k or 6km distance.
- There is a limit of 250 participants for 2025
- Registration closes when we reach 250 participants or March 26.
Virtual Event:
If you do not live locally or cannot make it to the local event, then you can register for the Virtual Event and run your chosen distance or time wherever you live! All participants receive a finisher’s gift!
Your event package is mailed to you and will arrive before March 29, 2025. This gives you the option to help us raise money and awareness, run or hike where you live, (maybe create a group run with friends?!), and we can all run together around the world on the same day!
Your registration fee includes your bib number, a finishers gift, a $5.00 donation to Backpack Buddies and shipping.
Important: Registration for our Virtual Runners closes March 1, 2025 so that we have time to mail your package to you before event day.
Join us in the beautiful Island 22 Regional Park. Island 22 is home to urban trails, which connect to the Canyon to Coast trail system. We have created a route that runs along the Canyon to Coast trail following along side the Fraser River. Your views are going to embrace the river, surrounding mountains including the Cheam Range, farm lands and wildlife.
Backpack Buddies Program - We Help Hungry Kids
Every Friday, we deliver bags of food to hungry kids across BC. Each bag includes meals and snacks to last them the weekend and beyond.
We serve our province’s most vulnerable children—those who go without consistent access to food on the weekend. Our priority is providing them food that is familiar and that they can easily prepare to ensure they get through the weekend without going hungry. We do this in close partnership with schools and a large network of distribution partners.”

2025 Donation Goal = $1000.00

COURSE INFORMATION
Start and Finish Line:
Lower Seymour Conservation Reserve - 2369 Lillooet Rd, North Vancouver, BC V7J 2H9
Main Grass Area
For all distances, This Dam Run is going to follow the Seymour Valley Trail which is a paved multi use path through the valley of Lynn Headwaters. All of our routes showcase the beautiful landscapes and lush forests. The routes are mainly flat with a mix of paved roads and urban style wide path trails. Our courses are using the Seymour Valley Trail, Fisherman’s Trail North, Hydraulic Connector and Homestead Trail.
We have a 21km route, a 13km route and or a 6km route to choose from. Our 21km route is partially an out and back on the paved path with an urban trail section to the finish. The 13km route loops from the paved path to the urban trail. The 6km route stayed on the paved path for an out and back.
We welcome all paces and highly recommend this flat stunning course as a first event OR for those looking to get a speedy time.

We celebrate all finish lines no matter the time, therefore do not have chip timing.
We do record finish times via timing app and share them via bib numbers.
