Did you know that it takes an average of 8 hours for a SAR Team to reach you once you have called for help in the mountains?!Â
In support of the Ridge Meadows SAR Team we are hosting an 8 hour loop event. You can do one lap, go for 2 hours or 5 hours... you choose what distance and or time is best for you. For those of you looking to go long or far you have 8 hours to complete as many laps as possible. You can walk, hike, run... join us for the fun on this loop course!

We are back for 2023 with our partner inspired race! Join us in the beautiful trails of Aldergrove Regional Park in support of BabyGoRound. We know the importance of support, both while running and everyday life. We know the importance of being able to rely on each other and how to encourage each other. Running with a friend creates encouragement and support and we want everyone in our communities to have the opportunity to experience this.
BabyGoRound has a mission to help families in need in Greater Vancouver safely care for their babies and toddlers by providing them with essential gear.
BabyGoRound provides essential baby items including gear, diapers and clothing to families in need throughout the Lower Mainland. We work with a network of over 73 social service agencies, including the YWCA, domestic violence shelters, hospitals, youth and teen pregnancy programs and shelters to identify these families in need. These families then come to our store-like facility where they are able to shop for the items they need and take them home free of charge. Most often these include several costly items like a crib, stroller, front carrier, breast pump, change table or high chair as well as smaller things such as clothing, blankets, toys, and bath items.

This event was created in support of two friends and community members who were fighting Breast Cancer. We lost both of the women who inspired this race in 2017, and as we move forward we remember their who they are and the strength they had. We have changed the name of our race to focus on living, loving and finding a cure! We are running to raise money for Abreast In A Boat, to help and support those around us who face this disease everyday. Proceeds from your race registration will be donated to The Abreast In A Boat Dragon Boat Team.
"We are a group of women from Vancouver, Canada and the surrounding metropolitan area, who have had a breast cancer diagnosis.
We are a living symbol of hope and a vivid demonstration that there is life after diagnosis.
Through the strenuous demands of dragon boat paddling we have learned that we can push the limits of our physical endurance and have fun doing it."
- Abreast In A Boat relies on the kindness and generosity of individual donors and corporate sponsors to help us to continue paddling.
Abreast In A Boat Society uses its donations to fund the dragon boat crews, and to provide proactive education, awareness, and expertise in the fight against breast cancer. Our members also participate in breast cancer research projects every year.
